One of the most promising talents to emerge from Juventus’academy, Mattia Vitale became the youngest ever Bianconero to make his first-team debut on 11 April 2015 against Parma aged 17 years and 192 days.
Born in Bologna on 1 October 1997, Vitale began his footballing education with the Rossoblùbefore switching to Juventus Center in 2011. Impressive performances would see him rise consistently up the youth ranks to the Primavera, coached by Fabio Grosso, before teaming up with Massimiliano Allegri’s men for the pre-season tour of Australia, Indonesia and Singapore in 2014.
Last season, the 18-year-old was often included in Allegri’s squad lists, making his Serie A bow last April as mentioned before earning a second substitute appearance in the competition in May against Cagliari.
Vitale, who has represented the Azzurri at U15, U17 and U18 levels, prefers to operate on the left side of midfield, but the two-footed talent can switch effortlessly from flank to flank during matches and boasts a fine understanding of the game.
