Giovanissimi set for Sunday playoff action

Claudio Gabetta’s Giovanissimi Nazionali are the only youth academy side to be contesting an official match this weekend as they travel to Rome to square up with Lazio in the first round of the playoffs.

The Primavera are in action at the Ostuni friendly tournament in preparation for the championship finals at the start of June, while the Allievi face Fiorentina.

The Giovanissimi’s last-32 first leg encounter is scheduled for tomorrow morning, with the return leg to be played in Vinovo seven days later.
