Claudio Marchisio believes the Bianconeri deserve great credit for their achievements over the past two campaigns.
The midfielder spoke of the team’s desire to round off their home campaign on a winning note ahead of today’s Scudetto celebrations at Juventus Stadium.
And whilst admitting that Juventus would have liked to stretch their nine-game victorious run and keep Fabio Capello’s points record in their sights, Marchisio was quick to pay tribute to the part Cagliari had to play in this evening’s 1-1 draw in Turin.
The 27-year-old said: “The supporters have enabled us to enjoy another exciting day, they’ve come here in numbers to celebrate with us. We wanted to win for them and for the record, but this draw doesn’t take anything from a team that has been doing great things for two years.
