In the aftermath of the Bianconeri’s incredible achievement of consecutive Scudetto titles, Pavel Nedved spoke of his admiration for the team’s amazing feat and revealed some of the secrets behind their success.
The former Ballon D’Or winner heaped praise on the current crop of players and insisted they possess the “winning mentality” that Juventus is all about.
However, he also claimed that the plaudits must be shared among all members of the club, from Antonio Conte to the management and staff.
The 40-year-old said: “Everyone’s done really well, be it the coach or the group of players. I think they’ve all improved since last year’s triumph, so you can only take your hat off to them.
“Someone who symbolises the success? It’s tough to pick just one, I think the applause should go to the coach and all the players because, like I said, everyone’s improved in so many aspects – progressing in the Champions League and winning the Scudetto by this kind of margin is a really difficult thing to do.
“A great deal of credit should also go to Andrea Agnelli. He hired this management three years ago, and everyone’s putting in a lot of hard work.”
However, the club director also insisted that Juventus would not get carried away with this current wave of success as the club goes in search of further improvements and silverware.
“We’ve already heard our CEO Giuseppe Marotta and coach talk about the next steps. Even after two Scudetto titles and a Super Cup victory, there are still other targets in mind, so we have to sit down and discuss how we can improve and what’s required to keep on winning.”
