The man who inextricably tied his family's name to the club, president of five historic back-to-back titles

If it comes naturally to think "Agnelli family" when you hear the word "Juventus", the reason is in no small part down to Edoardo Agnelli. Born in Verona on 2 January 1892 to Giovanni, the founder of FIAT, he was the man who established a bond between the Bianconeri and the Agnellis.

Edoardo became president of Juventus in 1923, 91 years ago. Well, 90 and a half to be precise, since the dates falls on 24 July. The 90th anniversary of the Agnellis' reign was celebrated at J-Museum last summer with the exhibition "Il lunedì si parlava di calcio", dedicated to the family which boasts the longest ownership of a football club in history.

Edoardo Agnelli was Juventus president until 1935 and won six Scudetti in his time, five of which secured back to back. That feat remains unmatched to this day, just as the great man remains an example for everyone who works at Juventus. Because it was that spell of undisputed supremacy, during his tenure, that made Juve the Signora of Italian football.
