Andrea Agnelli will continue his role as Italy’s representative of the European Club Association.
The Juventus president, who first joined the panel alongside Milan director Umberto Gandini in September 2012, will act as a reference point for the eight other Serie A member clubs who now form part of the committee: Fiorentina, Inter, Milan, Napoli, Parma, Roma, Sampdoria and Udinese.
Agnelli, who has spent the previous two days at the organisation’s General Assembly held in Geneva, joined a discussion group which debated a wide range of topics, in particular the possibility of playing the 2022 Qatar World Cup in the winter months.
The ECA is an independent organisation representing 214 professional clubs at European level. It replaced the previous G14 format, which was dissolved at the beginning of 2008.
