The Ligurian official will referee his first Juventus clash of the season when Verona travel to Turin on Sunday afternoon

Mauro Bergonzi will take charge of Sunday afternoon’s Serie A encounter with Verona at Juventus Stadium.

The Ligurian official is to oversee Antonio Conte’s men for the first time this season, having presided over three away games during the 2012/13 campaign.

The Bianconeri emerged victorious from all three encounters, winning 2-1 against Chievo, 2-0 in Bologna and 2-0 in the Turin derby contested at the Stadio Olimpico.

Overall, Juventus hold a positive record with Bergonzi in the middle, winning 13, drawing three and losing just two of the 18 games officiated by the 41-year-old.

On Sunday, he will be assisted at Juventus Stadium by Marco Barbirati and Espedito Marco Musolino, with Alfonso Marrazzo acting as fourth official.
