After two days of well-deserved rest following the exertions of contesting seven games in just 23 days, the Juventus squad returned to Vinovo this morning minus the nine players away on international duty for the first of the day’s two training sessions.
The physical effort required to come back from being a goal down in six out of those seven matches means that the Bianconeri will most definitely have needed some time to recuperate.
Now, though, with the break for international fixtures providing Antonio Conte with a good amount of time to work with his men ahead of their next match away at Fiorentina on 20 October, the Juve boss will no doubt be trying to make sure that such an onerous path to victory is not required so often in the future.
Vincenzo Montella’s Viola side, who are in good form and lie in 6th position in the Serie A table, will not be an easy team for Juventus to overcome, but Conte has plenty of time to put a strategy in place on the training pitch.
And with that in mind, after carrying out this morning’s workout primarily in the gym, the Bianconeri will take to the field once again this afternoon.
