While tonight’s World Cup qualifiers will be the focus of the nine Juventus players called on by their national coaches to help them reach the tournament in Brazil, in training this morning the rest of Antonio Conte’s group continued to fix their sights on Sunday’s Serie A clash with Fiorentina.
That game, away at the Stadio Artemio Franchi on 20 October, is the first in a busy run of seven fixtures in under a month.
It will be physically and mentally demanding, with Juve facing tough opponents both domestically and in Europe, where a double header with Real Madrid awaits.
A final push will be required for the run’s grand finale on Sunday 10 November: Napoli’s visit to Juventus Stadium, a potentially momentous encounter given both sides’ Scudetto ambitions.
And to ensure that his men continue to build up their fitness for such a testing schedule, Antonio Conte will be holding another training session early this afternoon.
