Giorgio Chiellini has said he believes remaining firm in defence and demonstrating the attacking strength he knows Juve possess will be the key to victory in a Europa League semi-final second leg he is excited about facing at Juventus Stadium.
Clearly fired up for the big match against Benfica when previewing it alongside Antonio Conte in Juventus’ press conference, Chiellini began: “I can’t wait to get out there on the field for a such a magical night, and I believe not only the fans inside the stadium but also those at home will be right up for it.”
The 29-year-old went on to give his analysis of what’s required to overcome the Portuguese visitors tomorrow evening.
“It’s important not to concede, because I’m convinced we’ll be able to net one ourselves given the attacking capabilities we possess.
“We need to make sure we avoid the errors made in the first leg, a game I believe we deserved more from at the time and even more so after viewing it back.”
Chiellini concluded with a powerful final rallying cry ahead of a match which could see Juventus’ dream of playing the Europa League final at their home ground become a reality.
“We have no fear, only a strong desire to put in a good performance and win it. We know that the opportunity to continue this extraordinary season and Europa League dream is in our own hands.”
