If their first two outings are anything to go by, the chances of Juventus litfting the title next May look very promising. And after hearing Giorgio Chiellini speak following tonight's win over Sampdoria, you can't help but feel the best is yet to come.
The 29-year-old said: "There's plenty of room for improvement because we're still at the start. We've worked really hard in pre-season and we're not firing on all cylinders yet. But you can already see a well-drilled side with great character.
"Sampdoria had lots of pace on the break because they're a young team but we contained them well and managed to create chances of our own."
He also noted his surprise about just how quickly Carlos Tevez has adapted to Antonio Conte's tactics: "Carlos is world-class but what's even more surprising is the way he applies himself in training every day. He's a player who leads by example. He's always worked his socks off and now he's reaping the rewards. He's still some way off his best – we all are – but he can help take this team up to another level."
