Mark Clattenburg will lead an all-English delegation in overseeing proceedings as the Bianconeri host Jorge Jesus’ men in Thursday’s Europa League semi-final second leg

Mark Clattenburg has been designated the referee for Thursday’s Europa League semi-final second leg between Juventus and Benfica in Turin.

The English official’s only previous experience of the Bianconeri was last season’s Champions League quarter-final first leg against Bayern Munich in which Antonio Conte's men were defeated 2-0.

But Clattenburg has also taken charge of a number of other major fixtures including the men’s 2012 Olympic final over the course of his career.

The assistants for 1 May’s clash at Juventus Stadium will be Clattenburg’s fellow countrymen Simon Beck and Stuart Burt, while Darren England has been assigned as the fourth official.
