Atalanta manager Stefano Colantuono was full of superlatives for opposite number Antonio Conte and Juventus when discussing tomorrow’s clash in Bergamo during his pre-match press conference.
The Bianconeri’s fine streak of eight straight league victories without conceding has taken them five points clear at the top, guaranteeing their supremacy come the turn of the new year.
And the 51-year-old tactician believes Conte’s hunger for victory will prevent the players from resting on their laurels during Serie A's final game before the winter break.
Speaking to reporters in Lombardy, Colantuono began: “Juventus have the best club, group, squad and manager. They are doing better than the previous two seasons and it doesn’t surprise me that they keep winning - the title is only theirs to lose. Knowing Conte, I don’t think they’ll take the foot off the gas tomorrow."
Despite his side enduring a recent run of patchy form, Colantuono remains upbeat about the visit of the reigning champions and believes the Nerazzurri could cause an upset if they are able to replicate their promising display against Scudetto challengers Roma.
He concluded: “We’ll try and repeat our peformance against the Giallorossi with the knowledge that we’ll be locking horns with even stronger side tomorrow. As well as the performance we’ll also look to gain a result.”
