Antonio Conte was full of superlatives for his side’s continued success following this evening’s 1-0 win over title rivals Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.
A late Dani Osvaldo strike condemned the Giallorossi to their first home reverse of the season and lifted the Bianconeri on to 99 points, two more than the previous top-flight record established by Inter in the 2006/07 campaign.
Expressing his delight at another victory, the 44-year-old said: “There’s plenty to celebrate. We’ve beaten Inter’s record, have the possibility of achieving another goal and today overcome our title rivals in their own back yard.
“Credit must also go to this fantastic Roma side who have always kept us going. Only a great Juventus team could maintain this pace.
“I’m proud to be manager of this side, even in my wildest dreams I couldn’t imagine us having such a run over these three years. There’s still a game to go and the team are fully up for it, in spite of the celebrations.”
