Antonio Conte expressed his disappointment after witnessing Juventus squander a two-goal lead in this afternoon’s 4-2 defeat at the hands of Fiorentina.
The manager believes the Bianconeri were the better side for the majority of the encounter and could have tightened their grip on the three points before Giuseppe Rossi’s penalty sparked a Viola comeback.
Speaking after the game in Florence, Conte said: “We lost a game that we dominated for 70 minutes, we were home and dry and had more than one opportunity to score the third goal. Suddenly something strange happened, if I could explain why it would be simple.
“But that’s football, we hope this afternoon serves as experience and we’ll keep working and looking to move forward. I don’t think our focus was already on Real Madrid, otherwise we would have got our overall approach wrong.”
