With two days to go until the away trip to Lazio, Antonio Conte has developed Juventus’ tactical plan during today’s training session as he looks to make new Biancocelesti boss Edy Reja the 13th consecutive Serie A adversary he has outfoxed.
The Bianconeri were out on the training field in Vinovo this morning, trying out different potential team moves and plans of attack before finishing the session with a mini-match on a reduced-size pitch.
Juve will be re-encountering Lazio on Saturday for the third time this season, and could complete an impressive goalscoring sequence having netted four times on both previous occasions: 18 August’s 4-0 Super Cup victory and a 4-1 Serie A triumph at Juventus Stadium 13 days later.
But Conte will be well aware that Lazio are currently in fine fettle, unbeaten in three games following the return of Reja to the club where he was so successful between 2010 and 2012 and fresh from a 3-2 away win against Udinese.
With that in mind, preparations for Saturday’s fixture at the Stadio Olimpico will continue tomorrow afternoon before the team depart for the capital.
