The Bianconeri are handed a day’s rest in the wake of last night’s victory over the Rossoblu. Andrea Barzagli and Federico Peluso undergo medical examinations

After strengthening their grip on top spot courtesy of last night’s dramatic win over Genoa, Juventus were handed a day off to recharge the batteries ahead of the start of tomorrow’s Fiorentina build-up.

With a Europa League quarter-final on offer for the winners of Thursday’s crunch return leg at the Artemio Franchi, Antonio Conte will be putting his men immediately through their paces when they regroup at the club’s Juventus Center training complex.

After missing out on Sunday's clash at the Marassi due to a problem in his left calf sustained during the warm-up, Andrea Barzagli underwent a series of medical examinations which revealed increased inflammation in the region. His condition will continue to be monitored over the coming days.

Meanwhile, Federico Peluso, who returned to Turin after suffering from flu-like symptoms ahead of last night’s game, was also subjected to tests designed to assess the severity of a muscle complaint reported towards the end of Saturday's training session. These identified a first-grade tear of the defender’s adductor longus thigh muscle.
