Bianconeri wideman Kwadwo Asamoah played another 90 minutes for Ghana in their final World Cup warm-up game. Kwesi Appiah's lads comfortably beat South Korea 4-0 at Sun Life Stadium in Miami in an encounter that saw Jordan Ayew take centre stage by scoring a hat-trick (11, 53, 89 minutes). The other goal was netted by Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan, who hit an unstoppable shot into the corner of the net from outside the box in the 44th minute. Kwadwo was utilised on the right flank again, but this time in defence.
Things will start to get serious for the African outfit on Tuesday 17 when they kick off their World Cup campaign with their opening Group G game against the United States. The other two teams in the group – probably the most evenly matched in the tournament – are Portugal and Germany.
