The Primavera coach was disappointed to lose but pleased with his troops' showing in their quarter-final meeting with Chievo

"We go out with our heads held high." Fabio Grosso can rightly be proud of the way his young guns performed against Chievo. Of course seeing your side go out in the Final Eight is always hard to take, especially after seeing them play as well as that, but as the U19 coach explained, "That's football for you. In a knockout fixture anything can happen."

Grosso went on: "I'm pleased with our performance and what we've managed to do since I arrived. This is a young team compared to many others but it's full of talent. They showed that at times today and if they keep going like this they're sure to have a long and bright future in the game.

"I'm sorry we can no longer challenge for the title. We played with a lot of enthusiasm but we need to keep improving," he concluded.
