Sebastian Giovinco is celebrating his 27th birthday today.
The youth academy product, who made his Bianconeri first-team debut in 2007, is enjoying his second consecutive campaign on home soil after returning from a two-year spell with Parma to bolster Antonio Conte’s attacking options in June 2012.
Having tasted Super Cup success in August’s 4-2 win over Napoli, Giovinco announced his return by downing Udinese with a double, before helping the Bianconeri to an unbeaten Champions League Group stage finish, netting against both FC Nordsjaelland and Chelsea.
However, for a local boy with a strong attachment to the black and white stripes, the highlight of last season can only be the goal and assist for Claudio Marchisio during a 3-0 victory over inter-city rivals Torino.
This season has seen him come off the bench to contribute a memorable strike in October’s 3-2 Serie A win over Milan, while Coppa Italia opponents Avellino were also punished by his sharp shooting when he netted the opener in a 3-0 success at Juventus Stadium.
All associated with Juventus Football Club would like to wish Seba many happy returns.
