Mauricio Isla says the Bianconeri were fully aware of the importance of claiming all three points in tonight’s 4-0 Serie A victory over Catania.
The defender, starting his second game in succession after also being named in the starting line-up for Sunday afternoon’s visit of Genoa, continued by expressing his gratitude to everyone at the club following a long road to recovery from a cruciate ligament injury.
Speaking at Juventus Stadium following this evening’s success, the Chilean began: “We knew that we’d be up against a Catania side that is comprised of many strong players. It was extremely important for us to win and we also managed to do so by playing well.
“We go home happy because it’s always tough when you play once every three days. Personally speaking, I’m delighted with how the last two games have gone. I had a nasty injury and everyone here at Juventus was very patient in waiting for me. Now I need to keep working hard to show everyone the true Isla.”
