      Juve aim for TIM Trophy glory

      Juventus will face Serie A opposition for the first time in the 2013/14 campaign when they take on Milan and Sassuolo this evening in the TIM Trophy, with Carlos Tevez, Fernando Llorente and Angelo Ogbonna expected to start

      After a confident 7-0 victory against Rappresentativa Val d’Aosta in their first fixture of the 2013/14 season last Wednesday, Juventus will be looking to acquit themselves equally well against Milan and Sassuolo tonight as they attempt to lift the Tim Trophy at Reggio Emilia’s Stadio Città del Tricolore.

      In a much anticipated outing for the Bianconeri at the new home of Serie A debutants Sassuolo, who replace traditional participants Inter in this year’s competition, Conte’s men will play two 45-minute matches, to be decided directly by penalties if they remain level after the allotted time.

      Besides being the club’s first opportunity to get their hands on a trophy in 2013/14, it is also expected to be the first occasion in which new signings Carlos Tevez, Fernando Llorente and Angelo Ogbonna line up together in the black and white stripes against sides from Serie A.

      With a 2009 overall win in Bari being Juve’s only TIM Trophy victory since its foundation in 2001, Conte’s men will be keen add another piece of silverware to their illustrious trophy cabinet this time around.

      The first clash of the evening will be Juventus against Milan, before Sassuolo play the losers and then the winners of that tie. All the games in this 13th edition of the annual tournament will be broadcast live on Canale 5 from 8.45pm (CET).
