With nine Bianconeri away on international duty, the rest of the group take to the training pitch in Vinovo confident after yesterday’s friendly victory against Pavia and determined to strive for similar success against Fiorentina

Today, Friday 11 October, is the day of internationals, and with nine Juventus players away on duty with their respective national squads, it was a reduced group that took to the field in Vinovo for this morning’s training session.

But the Bianconeri who are not involved abroad are by no means stepping off the gas back at Juventus Center, with the momentous Serie A fixture against Fiorentina now not too far on the horizon.

Vincenzo Montella’s side have ambitions on bettering the fourth place finish they achieved last season in the current campaign following big-money arrivals, and Juventus will need to work hard in training to make sure they are on their guard come 20 October.

The fact that they are putting in every effort was clear to see in yesterday’s 7-0 friendly win against Pavia, a remarkable goal haul of which Fernando Llorente scored four.

Antonio Conte built on the findings of that test - passed with flying colours against the Lega Pro outfit - in a morning session today, and will continue to do so again before lunch in tomorrow’s workout.
