After an entertaining morning training session, shooting practice is the main event as the Bianconeri put on another show in Chatillon this afternoon

Just as in the morning, there was an interesting new format in the afternoon. Since the customary mini match had already been played out earlier on, having warmed up with agility and jumping drills it was shooting practice that was the order of the day.

Attackers and defenders alike queued up to receive a pass from the coaching staff and had to do their best to beat the keeper from just inside the box when striking the moving ball.

It was an opportunity for soaking up the cheers of the crowd that the players relished, with Arturo Vidal whipping the supporters into a frenzy after netting his first goal.

The players’ competitive sides came to the fore in this challenge, and Fernando Llorente was clearly up for it, clenching his fist after curling into the top corner.

Elsewhere on the field at Stadio Brunod, Ouasim Buoy and Luca Marrone worked with the ball for the first time during their time in Chatillon when they took part in a passing exercise.

Meanwhile the rest of the squad had moved on to trying to beat a defender one-on-one before taking a shot on goal. Mirko Vucinic scored a delicious chip after gliding past his man and there were step-overs aplenty from the other attackers, but the defenders matched their opponents by putting in some important sliding challenges. The most consistently successful finisher of the afternoon was Fabio Quagliarella.

As the session drew to a close, the players had to reach the other end of the pitch through a precise sequence of passes dictated by Conte, and he stopped play if his men did not complete it to perfection. They soon managed it, though, and the coaching staff called time on proceedings by starting the stretches.

The Bianconeri will begin training again at 10am (CET) tomorrow morning.
