Galatasaray, FC Copenhagen and Real Madrid are all in action this afternoon as they look to continue to building a strong domestic platform to achieve results in Europe

After a momentous start to Champions League Group B which saw Galatasaray comprehensively beaten 6-1 at home by Real Madrid and FC Copenhagen hold Juventus to a draw at Parken Stadium despite coming under a barrage of shots from Antonio Conte’s men, all three of the Juve’s European rivals return to domestic action this afternoon.

The standout fixture is the Istanbul derby between Galatasaray and Besiktas. The Bianconeri’s next opponents in Europe face a tough challenge in toppling the current Super Lig leaders, seeing as they come up against a Besiktas side in excellent form. It’s a crucial clash in terms of standings in the table: Fatih Terim’s men have six points from the first four fixtures, while their city rivals have a perfect record so far.

Real Madrid, meanwhile, will be looking to shorten the six-point gap between themselves and the Atletico Madrid and Barcelona pairing who sit at the top of the table when they take on Getafe, a side who are languishing at the bottom with just four points in total. Carlo Ancelotti’s men are at home, and will be confident of getting a result.

Last year’s champions of Denmark, FC Copenhagen, will continue their battle to overturn a stalling season when they line up against Odense at the ground where they managed to restrict Juventus to a solitary goal on Tuesday.
