In the last training session before the Bianconeri take on a side made up of players from the Val d’Aosta region this evening at 5pm (CET), the squad continued to work towards optimum fitness at the Stadio Brunod.
There were agility drills for Simone Pepe and Luca Marrone as well as the usual laps of the field, after which Pepe started a cheer for the fitness coaches in recognition of all their help during his recovery over the last year.
Having built up their physical strength for a good while now, the pair underwent a drill of sprinting between cones whilst being jostled and put off balance by the coaching staff.
Meanwhile, the goalkeepers practiced close range shot-stopping, both along the ground and from volleys, before taking on the ball-firing machine in its first appearance at the Chatillon pre-season training camp.
Ouasim Bouy was put through an individual exercise which involved threading passes through sets of cones positioned various distances away.
After almost a week packed with productive workouts, Juve have been well prepared for their first encounter of the 2013/14 campaign and will be looking to put on a show for the fans who descend on Saint-Vincent this evening.
