Juve pulled off one of the most spectacular victories of the season when they last faced the Giallorossi in Serie A: a 3-0 triumph at Juventus Stadium in the first game following the winter break

It was one of the most memorable, decisive days of the Bianconeri’s season when they last met Roma in Serie A, Arturo Vidal, Leonardo Bonucci and Mirko Vucinic firing Antonio Conte’s men to a 3-0 win at Juventus Stadium on 5 January.

The Giallorossi had been unbeaten in their last 19 league encounters previously, but they came up against a Bianconeri side in deadly form, fully warmed up despite it being the first game after the winter break.

In front of crowd which brought record gate receipts for a Serie A game at Juventus Stadium, it was a night of milestones on the field too for the hosts, who crowned Giorgio Chiellini’s 300th club appearance with their tenth league win in a row (a feat not managed since 1932).

The first of the goals came after 17 minutes, and it was already the eighth of the season for Arturo Vidal after a perfect assist from Carlos Tevez.

It remained 1-0 until the break, but it took Juve just three minutes to extend their lead after the start of the second half.

Rounding off the win was Mirko Vucinic, who blasted a penalty into the left corner to end a magical night in style.

The first to face the microphones was the captain himself, Gigi Buffon.

Goalscorer Bonucci focused on the latest tactical triumph from Antonio Conte, who left 59 per cent of the possession to the opposition but inspired his men to pounce in a second half that was taken full advantage of.

And Barzagli concluded the post-match reaction by praising the clinical finishing of the Bianconeri, who managed to net from three of their five total shots on target.

For the goals and all the action from Juventus Stadium, here are the video highlights:
