Giuseppe Marotta expressed his delight at the Bianconeri’s third consecutive Scudetto before paying tribute to the influential leader behind the club’s continued on-field success, Antonio Conte.
The club CEO began: “It’s an extraordinary and unique achievement. The credit must certainly go to the manager, who, aside from his technical and professional abilities, is a magnificent leader of the group and has managed to instill a winning mentality ever since his first day in Vinovo.”
“We’re proud of our coach who I regard as one of the best in the world, not just because of his important footballing principles, but also for the way he’s able to manage and motivate the squad. We said and knew that it would be a difficult season, but we were able to count on a superb coach and team who had great hunger and motivation to achieve this third title.”
When asked about the summer, Marotta confirmed the club’s commitment to bolster the playing squad and continue its upward trajectory.
“We assembled this group four years ago – three with Conte – and each year we’ve raised the bar as far as quality’s concerned. It’s our duty to build on what we’ve got every summer, and we’ll also do this this year, with great shrewdness whilst also remaining in line with financial fair play and the club’s financial guidelines.”
