Davide Massa will take charge of Saturday night’s Serie A encounter between Lazio and Juventus at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.
The 32-year-old has overseen just two previous Juventus fixtures in his career, both of which resulted in wins for the team in the black and white stripes.
The first of these, contested on 16 December 2012, saw Antonio Conte’s men run out 3-0 winners over Atalanta at Juventus Stadium through goals from Mirko Vucinic, Andrea Pirlo and Claudio Marchisio.
This season saw Massa take charge of November’s away day in Livorno, when Fernando Llorente and Carlos Tevez found the target in a 2-0 triumph.
On Saturday evening, Massa will be assisted by Barbirati and Marzaloni and goal-line officials Bergonzi and Gervasoni. Di Liberatore has been named as fourth official.
