Juventus ramped up their preparations for Saturday night’s Serie A curtain-raiser against Sampdoria in an afternoon workout at the club’s Vinovo training complex.
While the Bianconeri will undoubtedly approach the game full of confidence following last Sunday’s morale-boosting Super Cup success over Lazio in Rome, Antonio Conte will be keen to remind his charges of the dangers posed by Sampdoria, who stunned Milan with an opening day 1-0 victory at the San Siro this time last year.
And with the spirit of maximum focus very much at the forefront of proceedings, Conte led his troops through a mixed workout in his bid to secure Juventus a winning start for the third successive campaign.
The Bianconeri will apply the finishing touches to their game plan in tomorrow afternoon’s last training session ahead of their departure for Liguria. Before putting his men through their paces, Conte will look ahead to Juventus’ first fixture of the 2013/14 championship season when he meets the media at 3.30pm (CET).
