Paul Pogba has credited the Bianconeri’s ability to get the better of a difficult game against worthy challengers Roma - setting a new Serie A points record in the process - as another sign of this Juventus side’s phenomenal strength.
Speaking to the media in the post-match euphoria of this evening’s last-minute away win over the Giallorossi, the Frenchman began: “We demonstrated once again that we’re a great team, because it wasn’t an easy game.
“We were up against a good side, one of the best in Italy, so we’re happy to have got the result.”
The 21-year-old’s thoughts then turned to the Bianconeri’s final aim: the unprecedented Serie A feat of 100 points. With just one point needed from next week’s match against Cagliari after the latest three gained this evening, it’s an objective which now appears tantalisingly close.
“It wasn’t our original aim – that was winning the Scudetto. We’re going for it now though, and I think we can do it!”
