Andrea Zanchetta’s youngsters rack up their third successive home championship victory with this afternoon’s 2-1 triumph over Genoa. All attentions now turn to Wednesday’s UEFA Youth League visit of Galatasaray

The Primavera warmed up for Wednesday night’s UEFA Youth League encounter against Galatasaray by chalking up their third successive home championship victory with this afternoon’s 2-1 success over Genoa at Chisola.

It was a vastly changed side that took to the field, with Andrea Zanchetta opting to rest many of those involved in Thursday evening’s Super Cup triumph over Lazio in Rome.

One of the few survivors from the starting line-up at the Stadio Olimpico, captain Pol Garcia Tena, gave the Bianconeri the advantage before Alhassane  Soumah sealed a two-goal cushion ahead of the break.

Basement boys Genoa rallied in the second half but were unable to find an equaliser after pulling a goal back, meaning the Primavera will approach Wednesday’s meeting with Galatasaray buoyed by a positive run of domestic form.
