Neapolitan striker again on target in Bianconeri's Champions League opener but Juve fail to go beyond a draw: "We needed to win this. It makes things more difficult for us"

Fabio Quagliarella did it again. The 30-year-old notched Juventus' first Champions League goal of the 2013/14 campaign, just as he did a year ago. But if last season's strike against Chelsea was a headline-grabber, tonight's equaliser in Copenhagen left the Bianconeri feeling far less satisfied.

Antonio Conte's side were foiled again at Parken Stadium, a year on from the draw with Nordsjaelland. Foiled by Copenhagen keeper Wiland and their own profligacy in front of goal.

After the final whistle, Quagliarella admitted: "We're disappointed because it's two points dropped. It was all very reminiscent of last season's match here. When you get all those chances you have to put one away and win the game.

"They came out of the blocks with the bit between their teeth and we needed to play at the same tempo. They scored with their only chance - Buffon was virtually a spectator for the rest of the game. It's made our Champions League path that bit more difficult," he concluded ruefully.
