Man from Emilia to take charge of Juventus for the 25th time

Nicola Rizzoli (Bologna) will officiate Juventus v Roma, the big match on Sunday 5 January which will mark the start of the Bianconeri's 2014.

The official from Emilia will be taking charge of a Juve game for the 25th time: with him in charge, the Bianconeri have managed nine wins, nine draws and six defeats, the last of which came this season against Fiorentina on 20 October 2013.

Rizzoli has already overseen this fixture three times in the past. All three meetings have come in Turin, with the Bianconeri drawing one and winning the other two, most recently the 4-1 win last season with goals from Pirlo, Vidal, Matri and Giovinco.

Rizzoli will be flanked by Messrs. Stefani and Faverani at Juventus Stadium on Sunday. Additional assistants Mazzoleni and De Marco and fourth official Manganelli complete the refereeing team.
