The Tuscan referee will take charge of the Bianconeri for the second time this season after overseeing August’s Super Cup triumph over Lazio

Gianluca Rocchi will take charge of Sunday night’s Serie A encounter between Juventus and Milan at Juventus Stadium.

The Bianconeri possess a favourable record against the San Siro side under Rocchi’s stewardship. In 2010, goals from Fabio Quagliarella and Alessandro Del Piero secured a 2-1 win at the San Siro, while two years previously, in 2008, Hasan Salihamidzic’s double and a solitary Del Piero effort claimed all three points in Turin.

In total, the Tuscan official has taken charge of 22 previous Juventus encounters. These have yielded 16 victories, three draws and three defeats.  His last Bianconeri match saw Antonio Conte’s men roar to a 4-0 Super Cup triumph against Lazio on Sunday 18 August.

On Sunday evening, Rocchi will be assisted by Alessandro Giallatini and Andrea Padovan. Maurizio Liberti is to act as fourth official.
