Chievo manager Giuseppe Sannino has encouraged his players to move on from Saturday’s first victory of the season over Udinese and focus all their efforts on tomorrow evening’s visit of Juventus.
Speaking on the Gialloblu’s official YouTube channel, the 56-year-old said: “Last weekend’s triumph is already behind us and now we’ll look ahead to tomorrow evening’s game. It’s an important encounter as far as we’re concerned and I hope we’ll be able to cause the reigning champions a few problems.”
The Ottaviano-born tactician feels he won’t require a rallying cry to stir the team’s fans at the Bentegodi but admits their support will be fundamental over the course of a competitive domestic championship campaign.
He concluded: “I don’t need to ask the supporters to be our twelfth man because they’re always been alongside us in every game. This season’s Serie A is a particularly testing championship, perhaps the toughest it’s been in the last few years.”
