The Bianconeri consider this Sunday’s encounter with the Neroverdi during today’s training session alongside Serie D outfit Chieri

After making their return from Istanbul at just before midnight local time on Wednesday evening, Antonio Conte’s men regrouped on the training ground this afternoon to work towards extending their three-point Serie A supremacy in this weekend’s meeting with Sassuolo.

Juventus have never previously faced the Neroverdi in the top flight and will be looking to open their account with a win when they line up against the newly-promoted outfit in Sunday night’s rearranged fixture at Juventus Stadium.

Posing a threat to the hosts’ run of seven straight league successes are attacking duo Domenico Berardi and Simone Zaza, both co-owned by Juventus, whose goals have been influential in keeping the newly-promoted side’s heads just above the relegation zone.

But Conte is determined for his troops to show a confident response to Tuesday afternoon’s Champions League exit at the hands of Galatasaray, and set about his work on the training ground shortly after lunchtime.

Today brought a slight change to the traditional post-match schedule in Vinovo. While those involved in the encounter with the Turks conducted a routine warm-down, the remainder of the squad was put through its paces alongside Serie D club Chieri.

Preparations for the Bianconeri’s next Serie A fixture will resume when the first-team squad returns to the training field for their penultimate session tomorrow morning.
