Paolo Tagliavento will take charge of the Bianconeri’s first home encounter of the 2013/14 campaign against Lazio on Saturday night.
The Terni-born referee oversaw two matches last season: September’s goalless shutout against Fiorentina at the Artemio Franchi and November’s 3-1 home defeat to Inter.
In total, Tagliavento has presided over 18 previous Juventus fixtures, with these games producing a record of six victories, five draws and seven defeats under his stewardship.
The last Bianconeri success with the 40-year-old in the middle came back in December 2010 against Saturday’s opponents Lazio, with Giorgio Chiellini and Milos Krasic on target in a 2-1 victory at Turin’s Stadio Olimpico.
Tagliavento will be supported at Juventus Stadium by assistants Mauro Tonolini and Andrea Padovan. Riccardo di Fiore has been named as the fourth official.
