Juventus’ Europa League Round of 32 opponents will be looking to regain momentum against Kardemir Karabukspor this evening following a 4-2 home defeat last weekend

Trabzonspor will be looking to pick up their first win of the new year ahead of Thursday’s Europa League Round of 32 opener against Juventus when they travel to take on Kardemir Karabukspor this evening.

The Turks’ most recent result was a 4-2 home defeat to Akhisar Belediyespor – a disappointing knock to their ambitions of securing European football for next season – but the club parted ways with manager Mustafa Ackay after Sunday’s loss and, whilst still seeking a replacement, will hope to be reinvigorated by the fresh start.

It will be no walk in the park this evening, however: while Trabzonspor are ninth in the Super Lig, the hosts are in fifth and pushing for higher.

Nonetheless, the points difference between the teams in the upper half of the table is slim, so all three against Kardemir Karabukspor could see Juve’s challengers rise back to the upper echelons.
