The Bianconeri’s carefully honed methods of preparation were today presented to the club’s coaches in Vinovo by the man behind the Training Check initiative, Roberto Sassi.
The programme, launched at the start of the 2011/12 campaign and applied from the youngest academy sides right through to the first team, emerged following the desire to establish a universal, coherent training blueprint to be shared amongst Juventus staff.
Giuseppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici were in attendance to mark the first of the two-hour weekly appointments designed to enrich the skills of the club’s vast backroom team.
Six principal topics will be covered as the course progresses: training theory and methodology, player fitness, technical-tactical preparation, goalkeeper coaching, sport nutrition and medicine and sports psychology.
These educational seminars will be overseen by Sassi and presented by those responsible for the relevant areas. Further meetings with a more scientific theme are expected to include the contributions of the Mapei Sport Research Center and internationally acclaimed specialists.
