While Antonio Conte’s men will spend tomorrow preparing for Sunday lunchtime’s Derby Della Mole against inter-city rivals Torino, their three Group B Champions League opponents – FC Copenhagen, Galatasaray and Real Madrid - will all be looking to record maximum points in their respective domestic fixtures.
Juventus eyes will be eagerly peeled on Wednesday night’s opposition Galatasaray who, after dispensing with the services of Fatih Terim in midweek, will be aiming to climb up from their mid-table standing and close the six-point gap on league leaders Besiktas when they travel to third-placed Rizespor.
Over in Spain, Real Madrid also have derby matters to attend to, with Carlo Ancelotti’s side hosting Atlético Madrid in a 22.00 CET kick-off at the Bernabeu. After keeping the heat on their inter-city rivals and Barcelona courtesy of Cristiano Ronaldo’s stoppage time penalty against Elche, Los Blancos will be gunning to take their title charge up to the next level in front of a passionate home crowd.
Elsewhere, Stale Solbakken will be hoping FC Copenhagen’s recent upturn in fortunes continues when his men square up with second from bottom Brondby. Unbeaten in their last five outings, Solbakken’s men are within touching distance of hauling themselves clear of the relegation zone, but will need to make significant progress if they are to stand any chance of catching league leaders Midtjylland, who hold an 11-point advantage over the reigning Danish champions.
