New manager of the Primavera, Andrea Zanchetta, could not have asked for much more during his first time sitting in the Bianconeri dugout, a match that saw his side record a confident 2-0 win against Lega Pro side Bra.
In a post-match interview with Jtv, the Biellese coach confirmed his satisfaction with the way his team have come together as a unit under the guidance of his other staff members Fabio Grosso, Nando Scarpello and Andrea Pertusio.
The manager said: “I’ve started to see very promising things from these boys. They played with a high tempo throughout and went about the game with the right attitude. Above all, considering all the hard work they’ve put in recently I can’t help but be pleased with them.”
He was also complimentary towards Younes Marzouk, a new addition to the squad, commenting: “I’m very happy with him; it seemed as though he’s been in the group for a long time. He’s an intelligent and very unselfish striker - he was a real team-player today – and it’s important that the rest of the team support him on the field from now on.”
An exciting season awaits Zanchetta, but for now his focus is very much on the fixture on 11 August: “Now we’ve got the important Villar Perosa game to look forward to, where there will be huge numbers of fans supporting the boys. It will certainly be a useful experience in teaching them, if they haven’t realised already, what it means to wear the black and white stripes of Juventus.”
