Asamoah’s Ghana claim late win over Togo

Kwadwo Asamoah’s Ghana reignited their 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualification hopes with yesterday’s dramatic 3-2 away success over Togo.

Lining up in the centre of midfield, Asamoah played 90 minutes in an enthralling contest as the Black Stars battled back from going an early goal behind to record a late triumph thanks to Christian Atsu’s winner five minutes from time.

The spirited performance shown by the Ghanaian side was the perfect antidote to last week’s false start against Uganda and takes the four-time African champions on to four points from two games.
