Ball work takes centre stage

Following the tough interval training which greeted the returning internationals on this morning’s return to Vinovo, the ball took centre stage after lunch as Massimiliano Allegri’s men ran through a variety of drills and scenarios.

Aside from Paul Pogba and Patrice Evra – both of whom are on leave until 31 July – Arturo Vidal was the only one to miss out on the second group sesson, with the Chilean conducting an individual workout in the gym after undergoing medical tests in the morning.

Passing and movement exercises formed the main bulk of this afternoon’s technical and tactical work, which was brought to a close by a practice match contested on a reduced pitch.
