La Liga champions Barcelona will bring down the curtain on their league campaign when they host Deportivo La Coruna on Saturday evening, in a match that is expected to see Xavi make his final appearance at the Nou Camp.

The midfielder, one of the driving forces behind a team that has won seven La Liga titles in 10 years, confirmed on Thursday that he will move on to pastures new with Qatari outfit Al Sadd at the end of the season, signalling an end to his 24-year association with the Catalan giants.

While Luis Enrique’s men clinched their 23rd domestic title with last weekend’s triumph over Atletico Madrid, it is a different story entirely for 17th-placed Deportivo, who will be looking to get a result that prevents them from getting sucked back into the bottom three on the final day.

The hosts, who meet Juventus in the Champions League final on Saturday 6 June, are tipped to rest a few big names ahead of next week’s Copa del Rey final against Athletic Bilbao.
