After touching down at Turin’s Caselle Airport at 08.00 CET this morning, Massimiliano Allegri granted his troops eight days’ rest to recharge their batteries over the festive period.
With a heavy fixture list spread across three competitions awaiting the reigning champions upon their return to action, the first team squad will take the opportunity to enjoy a much-needed breather ahead of the challenges that lie in store.
Inter provide the first of these on Tuesday 6 January 2015 at Juventus Stadium, before the Bianconeri travel south to Naples in search of revenge for last night’s Super Cup final reverse at the hands of Napoli.
The trip to the San Paolo is followed by a Coppa Italia-Serie A double header against Verona in Turin, with the month drawing to a close with another clash on home soil, this time against Chievo.
The Bianconeri will launch their preparations for these fixtures when they regroup in Vinovo on the morning of Wednesday 31 December.
