Leonardo Bonucci says the tie is far from over after the Bianconeri were defeated 2-1 by Fiorentina in this evening’s Coppa Italia semi-final first leg at Juventus Stadium.

With another 90 minutes to be played in a month’s time at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, the 27-year-old believes he and his team-mates should approach the task that lies ahead with a positive outlook.

Speaking to Jtv following tonight’s encounter, he began: “Hats off to Fiorentina for their performance, but nothing’s out of reach: in the same way they triumphed here, we can go to Florence and win.

“We weren’t very clinical this evening, we committed too many errors in terms of technique and positioning, especially for their first goal, and we must work on this.

“We also contributed to our own downfall in the way we allowed them to break on the counter following silly errors. It’s important to note that Fiorentina won due to our mistakes.

“When we went behind, the team threw everything at it including the kitchen sink, but risked conceding a third. We were neither precise nor clinical in front of goal.”
