A second-half Leonardo Bonucci header ensured Italy made a winning start to their Group H Euro 2016 qualifying campaign with yesterday evening’s 2-0 success over Norway in Oslo.

The centre-back’s header on 62 minutes wrapped up a deserved triumph for the Azzurri, who went ahead in the Norwegian capital through Simone Zaza's early strike.

Bonucci was joined by Gigi Buffon in featuring for the entire 90 minutes, with fellow Bianconeri Angelo Ogbonna and Sebastian Giovinco named as unused substitutes.

Italy will look to continue their unbeaten start to life under Antonio Conte when they host Azerbaijan in their next qualifier on Friday 10 October.
