A first half to forget, futile attempts to find a late way back into the game and, ultimately, no points for the Bianconeri to take back to Turin. Giorgio Chiellini expressed his regret at the missed opportunity in Greece, but also reiterated his belief that the team will be able to get back on track in Serie A at the weekend.
"We improved in the second half, particularly in the last thirty minutes of the match. We went up a gear and played much better, but we were poor in the first half, giving the ball away too often and leaving them space to counter. We were missing a slice of luck, too," explained the Juventus No.3.
"It’s a shame because we didn’t want to be in this situation. We now have everything at stake in the upcoming matches and we’ll need to approach them with a different attitude than we’ve shown tonight," Chiellini added.
The Bianconeri defender also commented on Sunday’s upcoming Serie A match: "We have Palermo now. With all due respect to them, only a win will do if we’re to regain the rhythm we showed at the start of the season."
