Juventus defender Martin Caceres is celebrating his 28th birthday today.
Famed for his pace, strength and tackling, the Uruguayan international has proved himself a versatile member of the Bianconeri backline, having filled in at full-back and in more central areas.
During his time in Turin, Caceres, who joined the club on a permanent deal from Sevilla back in 2012, has picked up three Scudetto winners’ medals and also lifted two Italian Super Cups.
Due to the ankle injury he sustained last month, the defender will unfortunately miss out on this evening’s decisive Coppa Italia semi-final away leg with Fiorentina.
But there’s no doubt he will be cheering on his team-mates from home, urging them to maintain the club’s bid for a tenth Coppa Italia title by pulling off the right result tonight.
All associated with Juventus wish Martin many happy returns and a continued speedy recovery.
